This section contains comprehensive lists of all the writings on this website and a
list of the people mentioned in those writings with links to the relevant text where
they are mentioned.
The writings have been sub-divided into three separate lists.
1. FB's
writings- A comprehensive list of all FB's writings, published and
unpublished. This list includes writings that have not yet been placed on the website..
3. Writings
by other authors - Relevant writings by other authors have been included
on the website and separate list provides information on these articles.
Each writing has been allocated its own unique reference, a year followed by a sequential
number within that year. In the case of writings that were not written by FB a three
character category code has also been included between the year and the number.
On documents prior to 2004 the year usually relates to the publication date or, if unpublished,
the date it was written. More recently created documents are simply included within the
year they were written even if they were subsequently published in another year.
Three hyperlink columns are included with links to the article whether in Adobe Acrobat
(.pdf) format, HTLM format, or as a picture.
The first of these simply contains the letters "pdf" to indicate that clicking
here will initiate the display of the document using Adobe's free Acrobat Reader software.
(See the left hand side-bar if you need to download a copy.) The second column may contain
a numerical site reference indicating the place that the document has been included in
the Site Map. If this reference is shown as a hyperlink clicking on it will take you
to a web page for that document. In a few cases the document can be viewed as a scanned
image of the original article, in which case the third column will contain a hyperlink
to the article.
Absence of a link indicates that the item has not yet been
put on the website. Titles of books or journals are shown in italics, those wholly or
partly written by FB are in italic capitals.
In many cases abbreviations are used for the names of journals
within which articles have been published. A list showing the full names can be obtained
by selecting "Abbreviations".
