Survey visit

THE PRESIDENT of the Royal
Institution of Chartered Surveyors, Mr. Guy Biscoe (right), with Mrs. Biscoe
and Mr. F. A. R. Bennion, secretary of the institution, pictured on ,arrival

They are on a tour of New Zealand, Australia and South-east Asia to meet
members of affiliated societies.
The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, the oldest and largest society
of its type, celebrates its centenary in 1968. It has more than 30,000 members
in such fields as agriculture, real estate, valuation, rating, town planning,
building hydrography, mining and quantity surveying.
Mr. Biscoe has served on many advisory committees for the British Government
and in 1951 was a member of the committee which revised building by-laws.
He is a director of several companies, including the General Fire Accident
and Life Assurance Corporation, House and Land Property Corp. Ltd. and McKay
Securities Ltd.
